How to use the web log

The web log ("blog") enables you to read articles and comments about the situation with Colwall bridge and to give your own views. Click Web log to see what has been written so far.

When you read a blog article you can add your own comment using the reply form shown at the end of the page, after the current reponses. You do not need to register, but you will be asked for a valid email address and comments will be moderated, to avoid spam.

Anyone who lives in Colwall or the neighbourhood can also register to “post” an article.

If you wish to register, click Web log on any Colwall Bridge page and click on the Register button under the Admin heading in the web log sidebar. You will see a pop-up window in which to provide a name to sign your posts and an email address which will be used to send you a password, and to validate your registration.  When you have your password and the OK from the bridge web site admin you can:

Login on the web log sidebar under the Admin heading. You will see a tab page Dashboard containing information about WordPress (the blog software), some links to get started and some tabs you can click:

    - Write takes you to a page where you can
        - type in a post, using an editor like a small word processor
        - give the post a title, and choose a category if you wish
        - Publish it on the bridge web site

    - Manage provides facilities to edit and delete your posts
    - Comments allows you to edit comments on your posts
    - Profile allows you to change your details.
    - Dashboard takes you back to the WordPress starting page.

Sign Out of the blog (top right) when you have finished.
